Diamond (New Milford)

Type of Animal:
Boxer Mix
DIAMOND is an awesome dog who deserves her happily-ever-after. Watch her video and see for yourself!
DIAMOND was born sometime around 2005, making her approximately 12 years old.
Throughout her life DIAMOND was used as a breeder dog. But once her body began shutting down she was surrendered to Brooklyn’s notoriously high-kill branch of New York Animal Care & Control. We stepped in and pulled DIAMOND to safety literally "minutes" before she was supposed to be euthanized.
DIAMOND is super gentle and full of love & trust towards humans! She deserves a forever home for her remaining time on earth. Don’t you agree?
DIAMOND is a beautiful gem, uncut and unpolished (like those diamonds you find in jewelry stores). Store bought diamonds may be sparkly, but uncut diamonds are just as precious. In fact, we’d say DIAMOND is worth a whole lot more than some fancy diamond, because she offers what they can’t, and that’s LOVE!
DIAMOND has some lumps & bumps and skin tags but the vet says she’s perfect "as is” and cosmetic procedures to remove them are unnecessary.
She would make a great companion to someone who is home a lot and wants a low maintenance dog who loves to take a little walk and then snuggle the rest of the day.
DIAMOND is great with kids! She is also good with other dogs and even cats, but just like most of us will appreciate an appropriate and slow introduction to both.
If you would like to give DIAMOND a pawsome Bucket List for her remaining golden years please go to to submit an online application to adopt a dog OR contact Nichole via email at
Even if you can’t adopt DIAMOND yourself, you can certainly help her forever family find her by SHARING her bio!
DIAMOND is being fostered in the West Haven, CT area with the dog in the video and 3 cats.
