Marmalaid (Middlebury)

Type of Animal:
DSH Orange & White Tabby
We rescued 6 year old Momma Marmalaid from the streets of Waterbury, in one of the worst sections of town.  She was so skinny after living on the streets and caring for 3 little kittens. When we went to get her, we prayed that she would be easy to catch, because it wasn't safe for us to be in the neighborhood she was in. The kittens were hiding under a shed and as they ventured out our volunteers were able to grab two of them. The third had to be trapped.
When it was Marmalaid's turn she walked right up, thanked us for coming to save her and her family, and let us put her in a cat carrier.
She was so grateful!
Marmalaid is a super sweet, mellow cat, and she was a wonderful mom to her kittens, Chutney, Jam and Jelly.  But they're all adopted now, so it's time for Marmalaid to find her own forever home.
She is currently living in a foster home with other cats and two large dogs.  The dogs scare her, so either a home with very mellow, cat-loving dogs or a home without dogs would be best.
Marmalaid has been spayed and vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for feline aids (FIV) and leukemia (FeLV)..
Marmalaid is being fostered in Middlebury, CT.  She's had a rough life.  Can you give her the happily-ever-after she deserves?
