Missy (New Milford)

Type of Animal:
DSH Grey Tabby

Missy is a shy, loving cat. She is approximately 9 years old and has a super sad back story. She needs an angel to offer her a safe and loving forever home.
Missy's owner loved her so much, when she became homeless she refused to abandon Missy and her feline sister Marnie. Instead, she fought hard to keep her little family together by moving them from hotel to hotel every few weeks over a 6 month period until she ultimately suffered a massive stroke and passed away.
At that time Missy and Marnie became truly homeless and found themselves living alone in the hotel room without their mom. Luckily they had a group of Good Samaritans fighting to save them after learning of their predicament, and they were rescued.
The stress of her ordeal left Missy very sick, but she has now recovered and is ready to find her forever home.
Missy appears to get along just fine with friendly cats and dogs. She is currently being fostered in a home with two cat-loving pit bull mixes and 5 other cats, but we think she would also be perfectly content to be an only pet.
She's very affectionate and really just wants a human companion to love her and keep her safe.
Missy weighs 14.5 lbs and could benefit from a little diet. She does not eat dry food, and is currently eating Weruva's BFF brand of wet cat food.
Missy is spayed, vaccinated, and FIV/FeLV negative. She is being fostered in New Milford, CT. To submit an online application to adopt a cat please click here.
