CALLING ALL ANGELS!  Please share!  Somewhere out there is the family who will finally give SAMANTHA the forever she deserves.

Some of you may remember SAMANTHA, whose life was saved from euthanasia at the very last moment back in 2020.

She was only a year and a half old when her original family became afraid they could contract “feline AIDS” from her. They believed SAMANTHA was putting them at risk because she was too affectionate—because she wanted to cuddle and be close to them and shower them with love.

For that, she almost lost her life.

Their fear was completely unfounded. FIV does not infect people. But they still took SAMANTHA to their veterinarian to have her euthanized—and, as difficult as it is to comprehend, the veterinarian agreed to do it.

The sedative had already been administered. SAMANTHA was asleep, and the veterinarian was preparing to give her the final injection when one of our rescue friends stepped forward and said she would take her.
By the grace of God, SAMANTHA was allowed to wake up from the sedation on her own, and she was transferred to our rescue.

Within days, we found what we believed would be her forever family. We celebrated her adoption in June 2020, believing the worst was finally behind her.

Now, more than six years later, SAMANTHA is being returned due to extenuating circumstances, and she needs us again.

This poor cat simply cannot catch a break.

Through everything, SAMANTHA has remained the same exceptionally sweet, loving and affectionate girl. She is wonderful with children, good with the cat she has lived with for the past six years and happiest when she is close to her people.
She doesn’t just tolerate affection—she seeks it out and gives it back with her whole heart.

SAMANTHA is FIV+.

FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives, and SAMANTHA just wants to live out hers surrounded by love. Now approximately 7½ years old, she could be happy with a compatible feline companion or as the only cat, as long as she has her humans to love.
SAMANTHA needs someone who wants a super-friendly, cuddly and devoted companion. She needs a family who will cherish the very affection that once nearly cost her life.

Most of all, she needs someone who understands that forever means forever.

If you can give this extraordinary girl the lifelong love and security she deserves, please submit an adoption application.  She is currently being fostered in Southington, CT.
