Darla (New Milford)

DARLA's mom ZARINA, a 23 lb French bulldog came to us on April 22nd, 2025 in active labor. She had delivered one puppy at 7 AM, but the other 3 puppies were stuck inside and she was in distress and required an emergency C-section.

ZARINA's baby daddy is a much larger, 50+ lb mixed breed (maybe a cattle dog miz, but definitely a mutt) and he should have never been allowed to impregnate a dog half his size. But in any event, it happened, and luckillly ZARINA and all 4 puppies survived.

DARLA is a joyful puppy! She is super friendly and playful, yet also very cuddly. Her mom and siblings have all been adopted, and DARLA is being fostered in a home with a 55 lb pit bull/bulldog mix, and 6 cats, including a 7 month old kitten. DARLA is excellent with the other animals. SHe is a rough houser with the other dog, her brother LILL' BUBBA who lives nearby (seen in the video), and he kitten, buut they all like playing at that level. She is respectfulof the older cats.

DARLA adores all people and would do great in a home with older children.

DARLA is a high-energy puppy who will need a llot of attention, so someone who is home a lot or able to take DARLA with them would be ideal. She loves to go for walks and will soon enjoy longer excursions like hiking, or perhaps even agility training. A fenced yard would be ideal and another playful dog woulld be great.

DARLA is crate trained, learning basic commands, and working on her potty training. She will be spayed as part of her adoption.
