We pulled JIMI HENDRIX out of the Hartford Pound on April 5th. He had been found wandering the streets of Hartford, severely matted but sporting a botched grooming attempt, so we know he belonged to somebody before ending up on the streets.

JIMI is young, approximately 1.5 - 2 years old. He loves peoplle and is VERY FRIENDLY. He will be fine in a home with children.

JIMI is great with all of the dogs he has met so far. He's currently living in a foster home with 5 other small dogs.

JIMI sleeps in bed with his foster mom, curled up next to her. He is polite when taking treats and respects the other dogs when they are eating or when it is their turn to get a treat. He appears to be housebroken, but is also fine wearing a belly band in the house.

He loves chewing on stuffed toys, but cannot be left with them unattended because he destroys them to get to the squeaker, which is a choking hazard.

JIMI enjoys a nice walk and play time in the yard. He would love another doggy friend and a fenced yard would be fabulous.

We are not sure of his breed mix (perhaps Havanese or Lhasa Apso). He has super long hair and WILL REQUIRE REGULAR GROOMING so he doesn't end up matted again.

JIMI is being neutered on Thursday, 4/17 and will be available after that.

If you're interested please submit an online application to adopt a dog. He is being fostered in Middletown, CT.  He is perfect and he is waiting.
