Meet the Empress Josephine (aka Josie).

Josie is just a baby herself, clearly getting pregnant during her first heat. (Her babies, the Royal triplets Harry, Meghan and Markle were born approximately 4/27/2018.)

Here's the thing; somebody cared enough about Josie when she was a kitten to put a little flea collar on her before turning her loose out in the world to fend for herself. When we got Josie that flea collar was so tight it was about to become embedded in her neck because she had grown since it was put on her.

We don't know how she ended up all alone in the world taking care of babies in the garden of an empty home, but luckily the home owners came back to put the house on the market and found her and her kittens. We trapped Josie during a period of heavy rain and thunderstorms and it's a good thing because her babies could have drowned outside.

Josie is a bit timid around people (who can blame her) but she's coming around. She's an excellent mum and has raised 3 beautiful babies.

HARRY - brown tiger striped - is very outgoing and playful. He's brave and loving and good with dogs and other cats.

MEGHAN - grey tiger stripes with white - is a little bit shy when meeting new people and animals, but she's also quite brave and will stand her ground. She can be a bit of a diva and is definitely a momma's girl! Meghan gets along great with both Harry and Markle, but seems especially bonded with Markle.

MARKLE - all black - Markle is a special boy. He is super sweet and gentle and playful. He is not as brave as Harry, but will follow his or Meghan's lead. Markle is definitely a momma's boy and has a special bond with his sister Meghan.

Josie and her kittens will be fully vetted prior to adoption. They are FIV/FeLV negative. These cats are being fostered in New Milford, CT. Click here to submit an online application to adopt a cat.
