Sheldon (New Milford)
Meet SHELDON — a 10-month-old bundle of sweetness who is excited about this second chance at life. He has so much love to give.
SHELLDON is an adorable mis: 52% Yorkshire Terrier, 39.5% Maltese, and 8.5% Pomeranian, which explains his long, curly coat and his cheerful, affectionate personality. SHELDON is wonderful with cats and other dogs, loves to play, enjoys his walks, and rides beautifully in the car. He’s the kind of puppy who just wants to be wherever his people are.
Before coming to us, SHELDON survived quite an ordeal. He was on the run for two weeks in Simsbury, somehow managing to stay safe while evading capture. When he was finally caught, his beautiful coat was so severely matted and filled with ticks that he had to be completely shaved down to get him comfortable and healthy again. Underneath it all was this incredibly gentle, loving little dog just waiting for someone to help him.
Now healthy and thriving, SHELDON is neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, dewormed, and has great bloodwork. He is crate trained and housebroken as long as he’s taken outside regularly. His coat will grow back long and curly, so regular grooming will be important to keep him looking and feeling his best.
SHELDON would love a fenced yard where he can zoom around safely, but most importantly he wants a family who will include him in their daily life, take him for walks, and make him a true member of the household.
After everything he’s been through, SHELDON is more than ready to trade survival mode for snuggles, playtime, and a forever home filled with love.
SHELDON is being fostered in New Milford, CT. If interested, please submit an online application to adopt a dog.
